In 2021 Emerald Ant worked with 2 schools in North and East Dorst to engage children and their local communities in two very important mills; Sturminster Newton Mill and Walford Mill, now a prominent Craft Centre. The Swanskin Seafarers of Sturminster
A story collaboration between Sturminster Newton Heritage Trust, Sturminster Newton High School, J M Olds Collegiate in Newfoundland, and Emerald Ant, Through shadows and voices we tell the story of how Dorset people emigrated to Newfoundland in 1600 – 1800, following real life characters George Penny and Thomas Adams – The Swanskin Seafarers of Sturminster.
The Bluebell Project
On May 29th 2021 Wraxall Woods in West Dorset came alive with art and music as local families enjoyed a day out for the first time for ages in a wonderful celebration of a bluebell wood.
