The Saucepan Pony Parade

Last week the Saucepan Ponies hit the streets of Leigh Park, with local people joining us in joyful song.

The promenade was the culmination of a series of art and word workshops. A song was created by Sally Watkins and Steve Wilson, collecting together precious items from home people would take on a pony adventure.  Sarah Butterworth and Ben Piper created two lantern horses, Tunnock and Shadow, collaged ponies, and made paper pony hats and hobby horses with children, and Savannah Endean brought her skills for frills to the company of wheeled horses. Thanks to Millstream Theatre for bringing their joyful voices, and to Wimborne Town of Culture and the Arts Council for supporting this project.
