Roll up your sleeves and join Emerald Ant artists Sarah, Heidi or Holly, at our free family-friendly workshops (suggested age for children 7 years and above). You will be creating artwork to be illuminated at the Glow Badbury Event on September 29th and 30th.
All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult, maximum of 2 children per adult. Numbers are limited to 20 per workshop so please register on Eventbrite. And don’t forget to dress for mess!
Workshop Dates & Venues:
July 15th: Kingston Lacy House, part of the national Festival of Archaeology – Celtic Shields Lanterns, two separate sessions, either 10-12 am or 1-3pm. Artist Holly Miller. Please note: the workshop is free, but usual admission charges to Kingston Lacy apply.
August 8th: Sturminster Marshall Memorial Hall – Celtic Shield Lanterns – all day 10am-3pm, lunch 12-1pm (please bring a packed lunch, drinks and snacks). Artist Sarah Butterworth.
August 25th: Tarrant Keyneston Village Hall – Celtic Vessels – small group work creating large scale lanterns of decorated vases/pots – all day 10am-3pm, lunch 12-1pm (please bring a packed lunch, drinks and snacks). Artist Sarah Butterworth.
August 26th: Museum of East Dorset, Wimborne – Celtic Flags (small group work) – 10-12 am, 1-3pm. These are drop-in sessions, no need to book – arrive at the start of one of the sessions and join the making! Artist Heidi Stellar.
August 27th: Reef, Colehill, Wimborne – Celtic Flags (small group work) – 10-12 am, 1-3pm. These are drop-in sessions, no need to book – arrive at the start of one of the sessions and join the making! Artist Heidi Stellar.
August 29th: Pamphill Village Hall – Celtic Vessels – small group work creating large scale lanterns of decorated vases/pots – all day 10am-3pm, lunch 12-1pm (please bring a packed lunch, drinks and snacks). Artist Holly Miller.
The artworks will be large scale, 3, 4 and 5ft, suitable for outdoor display in a woodland. Please note we cannot guarantee to return your artwork to you after the event.
